Nathan Kress

Nathan Kress founded 400lb.communications in 2000 - and since 2002 has been working at it full-time. He has made a living building websites for about as long as the job description existed. He’s designed or overseen design work for Fortune 100 corporations, local coffee shops and respected non-profits ... And just about everything in between.
Nate is the former Creative Director of Mullen Pittsburgh’s Interactive department – where he worked for 5 years. With Mullen he oversaw all creative work for a variety of interactive clients, including Mellon Financial Corporation, Schwan’s Consumer Brands (Tony’s Pizza, Red Baron Pizza, Freschetta Pizza, Pagoda Foods), the Wood Promotion Network, Terraworx (a division of Tyco International), and the government’s Energy Star program.
He has served on the Board of Directors for the Pittsburgh chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA).
When not staring blankly at his 24" flatscreen monitor, Nate can be found at home - usually with the family at home or on Walk Team. Or even trying to have an actual adult conversation with his wife Marla. He fills an ever-shrinking amount of free time riding (or fixing) his Stella 150cc 2stroke scooter or generally obsessing over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
He is the current 400lb. lunchtime 2-bounce basketball champion.
